Role overview
Responsible for LWL architecture, planning, procurement, commissioning and acceptance of new (Berner) glass cables for the operation of ICT systems as well as defining their operational requirements for external service providers
Requirement Engineering Examine new or modified LWL development requirements for their feasibility and complexity and their impact on existing/planned systems, standards and policies

- conceptual activities, consultancy and solution of complex fibre optic network (PoC) requirements;
- Provide professional guidance of glass developments beyond several WAN/LAN areas of expertise
Company and context
- Consulting, technical coordination and communication with customers and cable manufacturers, support of our sales organization in presales activities / development of technical solution concepts and demonstration of their presentation
- Conception, architecture, engineering of complex LWL cableway solutions, evaluation of new cableways, commissioning and troubleshooting, and supporting our external (reactively deployed) piketting service
- university degree and/or in-depth knowledge and many years of experience in the LWL network environment; proven expertise in planning and maintaining (LWL) networks
- Several years of professional experience in the network environment, preferably in LWL network planning, expertise in the architecture, conception, planning and implementation of (LWL) networks
- operational expertise in the (LWL) network environment (core and distribution); affin for project management tasks
- Logically abstract as well as analytical thinking, rapid comprehension, strong communication, flexible, resilient and team player; able to realize new solutions together with internal and external partners
- Flexible, helpful personality, structured, precise working methods and experience with agile methods and roles (especially SAFe, Jira environment) desirable Good knowledge of two official languages
