Role overview

  • Direct the experimental station in the specialist, organizational, administrative and staff profile
  • Work at the interface between orthic practice, counseling and practice-oriented research
  • Plan, conduct and evaluate open field horticultural experiments defined together with partners, in close collaboration with Agroscope researchers and the farms involved
  • Collect and process experimental parameters as well as perform statistical analysis of experimental data
  • Draw practical scientific articles, hold presentations for an expert audience, act as representative of the experimental station towards public opinion
  • Bachelor (BSc) or master (MSc) in agronomy obtained at a university or a professional university school, or equivalent training
  • Practical experience in horticulture or production horticulture; management experience is preferential title
  • Excited autonomy and flexibility, good qualities of assertivity
  • Organizational gifts and excellent communication skills
  • Good knowledge of two official languages and English
