Chairman of the Board of Directors SSR (50%)

In this challenging role it will assume the management of the Board of Directors and will represent the SSR in political and economic environments, civil society and the public. In collaboration with the Board of Directors and the Management Committee, it will define the strategic development of the SSR and will accompany its transformation into a rapidly changing media context.

• Direct the SSR Board of Directors and ensure effective and future-oriented corporate governance
• Drive the strategic development of the SSR and ensure the lasting fulfillment of its public service mandate in the digital age
• To support effective corporate and cultural transformation as well as the development of "A SSR", taking into account the country's cultural and linguistic diversity
• Maintain a close dialogue with the Director-General, playing the role of "sparring partner"
• Representing the SSR to the authorities, political decision-making bodies and other stakeholders; promoting dialogue between the company, the mantle association, politics and the public
• Enhancing the rooting of public service in all language regions and representing SSR in political, social and media environments

Requirements

• Multiannual management and governance experience at the highest levels, accompanied by proven experience in strategic accompaniment of complex transformation and change processes
• Great knowledge of Switzerland's political functioning and decision-making as well as a broad network of contacts at the meeting point between Swiss companies, economics and media
• Spicy affinity with technologies and a clear vision of how public media service should be placed in the democratic and social context in the face of the growing dominance of artificial intelligence
• Solid knowledge of modern corporate governance principles and experience in managing a complex set of interest groups
• Strong adherence to the public service mandate and its importance to Switzerland
• Extensive communication skills and safety in dealing with political representatives, media and public
• Great active knowledge of German and French; willingness to acquire knowledge of Italian and to fully live the multilingualism of Switzerland

• Esperienza pluriennale dirigenziale e di governance ai massimi livelli, accompagnata da comprovata esperienza nell'accompagnamento strategico di complessi processi di trasformazione e cambiamento

• Ottima conoscenza del funzionamento politico e dei processi decisionali della Svizzera, nonché un'ampia rete di contatti nel punto d'incontro tra società, economia e media svizzeri

• Spiccata affinità con le tecnologie e una visione chiara di come il servizio pubblico dei media debba posizionarsi nel contesto democratico e sociale di fronte al crescente predominio dell'intelligenza artificiale

• Solide conoscenze dei moderni principi di governance aziendale ed esperienza nella gestione di un complesso insieme di gruppi d'interesse

• Forte adesione al mandato di servizio pubblico e alla sua importanza per la Svizzera

• Spiccate capacità comunicative, nonché sicurezza nel rapportarsi con esponenti politici, i media e il pubblico

• Ottima conoscenza attiva del tedesco e del francese; disponibilità ad acquisire conoscenze di italiano e a vivere pienamente il plurilinguismo della Svizzera
