Operation & Continuous Improvement (Run)

• Level 2 Support: Process tickets, diagnose and fix common disruptions in virtualization, storage, data backup, Windows and Linux.
• Daily review of backup operations, monitoring and handling of infrastructure alerts, reviewing reports, fixing common errors, escalating complex cases.
• Ongoing operation of virtualization platforms, maintenance tasks, installation of patches.
• Monitoring the operation of storage solutions (Pure Storage, DELL/EMC, Brocade).
• Execution of the operational tasks specified by the ICT systems engineer or ICT technical architect.
• Install, configure and maintain the operational status of Windows and Linux servers, storage infrastructures and data centers.
• Coordination with the network team (networks) to integrate requirements into the server and virtualization infrastructures.
• Participation as an operational actor in infrastructure and architecture projects, without responsibility for project management or coordination.
• Participation in the on-call duty schedule

Documentation and Quality

• Preparation and maintenance of detailed infrastructure documentation in French or German.
• Technical documentation in English.
• Compliance with established escalation procedures for incidents that cannot be resolved at level 2.
• Implement the policies and regulations adopted by the Security Department and report any breaches detected.

• IT training (EFC, teaching or equivalent).
• Proven experience in Level 2 / System Administration IT support, ideally in the hospital environment.
• Proven competencies in the installation and administration of Windows and Linux servers as well as SAN storage systems.
• Medium to advanced knowledge in virtualization (VMware vSphere, ESXi), data backup (VEEAM) and storage systems (Pure Storage, DELL/EMC, Brocade).
• Medium to advanced knowledge of PowerShell scripting.
• Maintaining and updating the monitoring system (WhatsUp Gold).
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently on defined tasks, in close cooperation with the ICT systems engineer or ICT technical architect.
• Care, reliability and service orientation.
• Mother tongue: German or French, with good knowledge of the other language.
• Medium knowledge of technical English.
