University Clinic for Adult Psychiatry and Psychotherapy

At the Crisis Intervention Station of the University Psychiatric Center (UPZ) in Bern, you will accompany adults in acute psychological crises and support them in finding stability and orientation again. At the UPZ location at Inselspital, a specialized acute psychiatric environment awaits you, in which professional competence, rapid action and human proximity are in demand every day. As a specialist responsible for care, you contribute your experience and actively shape the nursing development of the station. You strengthen the team in complex nursing situations, promote evidence-based care and set professional impulses together with the station management and the interprofessional team.

Your tasks

• You take on the professional responsibility for care on the ward and promote high-quality, patient-oriented care
• You advise and support nurses in complex nursing issues and strengthen the professional competence in the team
• You actively participate in the care process and support a professional, evidence-based implementation in the day-to-day work of the station
• You lead case discussions and promote professional and interprofessional exchange
• Together with the station management, you will develop nursing concepts and processes and put new findings into practice.
• You initiate and accompany measures for care development and quality assurance
• You work actively in direct care and bring your expertise directly into the treatment of people in acute mental crises

Your profile

• You have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or a diploma as a nurse HF/FH and are ready to complete the Bachelor degree
• You bring professional experience in psychiatry, ideally in the acute psychiatric environment
• You enjoy shaping nursing developments and passing on your expertise in the team
• You work in a structured, independent and responsible way and keep an overview even in demanding situations
• You have high social and self-competence and act as a professional contact person safe and binding
• You value interprofessional cooperation and are committed to patient and evidence-oriented care
• You have good knowledge of German in word and writing
