University Clinic for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy

At the TREMOLA youth station of the University Psychiatric Center Bern (UPZ), you will accompany young people between the ages of 14 and 17 in psychologically challenging life situations. In a protected stationary setting, you work closely with the young people and their environment and actively shape the therapeutic everyday life. What makes your work special: You take on case responsibility for a maximum of two young people and can thus build sustainable relationships and closely accompany developments. You are part of an interprofessional team of nursing, social education, therapy and medicine. You can expect a dynamic, motivated team with a lot of expertise, humor and space for your perspective – in the middle of the city of Bern.

Your tasks

• You accompany adolescents aged 14 to 17 in inpatient psychiatric everyday life and design a reliable and structured framework together with them
• You take over the reference and case work for a maximum of two young people and accompany their individual development and treatment process
• You shape relationships, strengthen resources and support young people in developing new perspectives and opportunities for action
• You actively contribute your professional perspective to interprofessional treatment and work closely with nursing, social education, therapy and medicine
• You lead conversations, shape everyday life and accompany the young people even in challenging and acute situations
• You involve parents, caregivers and other relevant bodies in the accompanying situation
• You document your work professionally and participate in reports, case discussions and joint treatment planning
• You work in early and late service and around once a month on weekends

Your profile

• You have a degree as a dipl. Professional social pedagogy, curative pedagogy or nurse (HF/FH)
• You enjoy working with adolescents and ideally bring experience in a psychiatric or psychosocial environment
• You are interested in different mental disorders and can also act calmly, clearly and professionally in challenging situations
• You have experience in reference or case work or would like to develop further in this area
• You like to work interprofessionally, actively participate in the team and appreciate different professional perspectives
• You are reliable, resilient and reflective and enjoy accompanying young people in their development
• You bring humor, commitment and an appreciative attitude
• You are ready to take on irregular working hours with early and late services as well as about once a month weekend services
• You can show a perfect reputation (private and special private extract)
• You bring very good knowledge of German in words and writing, every other language is a plus
