You are there when others sleep. And that's where your work counts. At night, you provide a safe and stable framework in the child and adolescent psychiatry of the Universitäre Psychiatrische Zentrum Bern (UPZ). You accompany young people attentively through the night, recognize changes early and act independently and responsibly. A varied task with a lot of personal responsibility and a special work rhythm awaits you. Your tasks

• You provide professional and safe nursing care for young people during the night
• You carefully observe the condition and behavior of the young people, recognize changes at an early stage and initiate appropriate measures if necessary
• You are a reliable contact person for the young people and accompany them calmly, appreciatively and professionally even in challenging situations
• You act independently in emergency and crisis situations, responsibly and in accordance with the applicable standards and agreements
• You perform necessary nursing interventions and ensure complete and professional documentation
• Ensure a professional flow of information between night and day duty and reliably transfer relevant observations and events to the following team
• You will work together with the competent specialists and the medical service if necessary
• You also take on assignments in other stations of child and adolescent psychiatry within the frame of the pikett organization

Your profile

• You have a degree as a dipl. Nurse HF/FH or equivalent training
• Ideally, you will have experience working with young people and young adults.
• You like to work independently and also take responsibility during the night
• You are attentive, able to make decisions and keep calm and overview even in demanding or unforeseen situations
• You have a high level of social and professional competence and meet young people in an appreciative, clear and professional way.
• You have good IT user knowledge and are safe in electronic documentation
• You are ready to work regularly on weekends as well as take care of piketting services at other stations of child and adolescent psychiatry
• You can show a perfect reputation (private and special private extract)
• You bring very good knowledge of German in words and writing, every other language is a plus
