As a Cyber Security Engineer in the Cyber Defence Center Fundamentals team, you make an essential contribution to protecting our systems and data. Together with your colleagues, you develop and operate central security platforms and drive their automation.

This is what you do with us

Together with your colleagues, you will ensure the technical basis for the Cyber Defense Center and other teams. You develop and operate central security platforms and ensure that they remain stable, secure and sustainable. With your engineering know-how and your implementation-oriented way of working, you contribute to the continuous development of our platforms.

You work in modern platform environments with a focus on the Microsoft security environment and bring your experience to other platforms. With PowerShell, Python, Terraform, Git or similar technologies, you can automate processes, integrate new systems and data sources and continuously optimize existing platforms and operational processes.

You analyze and repair disruptions sustainably, document your work in a comprehensible manner and support technical developments and migrations. You take responsibility for reliable operation and implement improvements in a structured and comprehensible manner. You work closely with colleagues from cyber security and IT and bring your technical expertise into joint solutions. With your service orientation and clear communication, you support different stakeholders and contribute to a trusting and successful cooperation.

This is what you bring with you

• In-depth experience in the engineering and operation of IT platforms (including Windows, Linux), ideally in the cyber security environment
• Good knowledge of Python, PowerShell, Terraform and Git or similar technologies
• Enjoying the use of modern technologies and AI-supported tools as well as first practical experiences with bringing them profitably into everyday work
• An open and communicative personality with a strong team spirit and a high level of service understanding
• Experience with agile working methods such as Scrum or SAFe as well as pleasure in documenting knowledge and sharing it in a team
• Curiosity about new technologies and motivation to actively shape the further development of our cyber security platforms
