SBB is the backbone of the Swiss transport network. In the Infrastructure Division, the Availability and Maintenance division ensures that rail systems are operated safely, reliably and in a sustainable manner. As a career starter, you take on a technical, technical or strategic conceptual role as a project manager – in line with your training background and interests. The focus is on resource management, monitoring and maintenance of the railway infrastructure and its further development. You work in technical projects, create decision-making bases for committees and can use your technical and/or business skills in a targeted manner. The 18-month programme will start on 1 April 2027. Thanks to permanent employment, a variety of paths are open to you after completion of the program – whether specialist, project or management career. • You will be involved in practical projects right from the start and will be actively involved in areas such as monitoring, maintenance or renewal of the railway infrastructure.
• Depending on your interest, you focus on technical topics or on strategic and conceptual tasks.
• You will analyze infrastructure projects, identify potential for improvement and, if necessary, have insights directly on the construction site.
• In cooperation with different areas and stakeholders, you will build up a valuable network within SBB.
• You are anchored in the Availability and Maintenance division and run through three six-month funding positions, which you co-design together with the program management.
• Your development is the focus: You benefit from individual development and further education measures, tailored to your goals.

• You are enthusiastic about the railway system and the mobility of the future with a special focus on railway technology and control infrastructure.
• You bring a solid technical or business understanding, enjoy complex technical and technical issues and show analytical strength to identify connections and derive potential for improvement.
• High independence and conceptual thinking characterize you and you drive projects forward on your own responsibility.
• A completed degree at an HF, FH or university (e.g. engineering, systems engineering, electrical engineering or a related field).
• Your German is so good (minimum B2) that you can easily keep up with a German-speaking team. Knowledge of French is a great advantage.
