Clinic for Psychosis and Dependence

Psychiatry means accompanying people in challenging life situations and developing new perspectives together. At the Münsingen location of the University Psychiatric Center Bern (UPZ), you can expect a versatile working environment in which you treat and accompany patients with various mental illnesses. You will gain insight into the entire spectrum of psychiatric diseases and modern treatment options, assume responsibility and continuously develop your diagnostic and therapeutic skills. Together with a committed interprofessional team, you will be comprehensively accompanied on your way to becoming a specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy.

Your tasks

• You take on diagnostic tasks under medical supervision as well as therapeutic case management
• You treat and accompany patients with various mental illnesses and develop individual therapy goals together with them
• You work closely with the interprofessional team and are in exchange with relatives and other experts involved
• You actively participate in interdisciplinary case meetings and contribute your medical expertise
• You take responsibility in day, night and emergency services
• You will continuously expand your diagnostic and therapeutic skills in the entire spectrum of psychiatric diseases
• You make an important contribution to basic mental health care in the Canton of Bern

Your profile

• You have completed a medical degree recognized in Switzerland or have a corresponding license (MEBEKO recognition)
• You are seeking further training as a specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy
• You value interprofessional cooperation and actively participate in the team
• You are interested in the treatment of people with psychosis and addiction disorders and would like to further develop both your psychiatric and psychotherapeutic abilities.
• You are an open, committed and responsible personality with empathy, social skills and a good power of observation
• You have very good oral and written knowledge of German (at least level C1)
