Put to the Point

The Swiss Accreditation Body (SAS) is the national accreditation authority of Switzerland. From product safety tests to energy management systems to material analyses in the laboratory - when it is checked whether products, systems or services comply with certain standards and legal requirements, SAS also takes a close look. In this way, we create trust in the services of others and help to make the everyday life of many people safer and to reduce technical barriers to trade. The newly founded ASRA division in March consists of a team of nine employees. Together, the team ensures that SAS employees (around 50 people) are equipped with the appropriate resources in the areas of IT, finance, procurement and administration in order to perform their core tasks in the best possible and contemporary way. Digital tools, in particular the FASAS specialist application developed especially for SAS, already play a central role, which will continue to grow in the coming months and years.

Questions about this listing

What salary does Confederazione Svizzera offer for this role?

The original listing does not state a salary. Our estimate for this role and sector in Bern is CHF 94'500 - 143'000 gross per year — an estimate, not a figure communicated by Confederazione Svizzera. The calculator on this site converts a gross salary into your actual net take-home once cross-border tax and social contributions are applied.

Is this a full-time role, and what type of contract does Confederazione Svizzera offer?

This listing is a part-time position. The contract type shown here comes directly from the employer's original posting; always confirm exact hours, notice period and probation length with Confederazione Svizzera during the application process, since these details can vary by role even within the same contract category.

Do I need a cross-border work permit for a role in Bern?

EU/EFTA citizens living in an EU/EFTA state can apply for a G permit and can work anywhere in Switzerland: border zones no longer apply to them, and they must return home at least once a week. The Swiss employer files the request with Canton Bern's migration office after the contract is signed. Processing times vary by canton, so confirm the specifics with Bern's cantonal migration office or with HR during the application.
