Role overview

As a member of the team and process owner, you move at the interfaces of strategic and operational purchasing.

With your pragmatic approach, you ensure that purchasing processes are not only thought out but implemented and lived effectively – across all business areas and end-to-end.

Main responsibilities

  • You help the Category Managers set up sustainably complex sourcing events in SAP Ariba and support them in demanding tenders.
  • As a process owner, you take over the end-to-end responsibility for defined purchasing processes (S2C & P2P) and develop these segments across different segments.
  • You analyze and optimize existing processes with a focus on efficiency, digitalization and pragmatic implementation.
  • You ensure the data quality and the further development of analytical and product group structures (e.g. via Sievo, PowerBI).
  • You work closely with process managers from the segments and stakeholders, suspend optimization measures and ensure their implementation.
  • You develop training documents, conduct training and enable purchasing in a sustainable manner in dealing with processes and systems.
  • You represent topics in relevant committees and actively participate in projects and initiatives in purchasing (e.g. systems, digitalization, efficiency programs).
  • You are a sparring partner for your colleagues and use your long-standing purchasing experience to proactively propose improvements.

Key requirements

  • Multi-year experience (5+ years) in purchasing: multi-year experience (5+ years) in purchasing
  • A well-founded understanding of source-to-con-tract, procure-to-pay, category management, contract management, procurement analyses and digital procurement platforms
  • Completed studies (Uni/ETH, FH, HF): Studies in business administration / supply chain or a comparable training with relevant experience in purchasing
  • Very good knowledge of SAP - knowledge in handling digital, analytical and AI-supported procurement solutions (e.g.
  • SAP Ariba, Jaggaer, Coupa, Sievo, GenAI Sourcing Assistants)
