Full description
Pediatric cardiology is a department of pediatrics at the University Children's Hospital of Basel (UKBB). The range of services covers all areas of non-invasive pediatric cardiology and is continuously developed together in the team. In order to actively promote the interdisciplinarity of our specialist area, special consultation hours exist in cooperation with prenatal practitioners of the Frauenspital, ACHD cardiologists for the transition of cardiological patients and electrophysiologists of the department of cardiology. Cardiac section imaging using state-of-the-art technology is carried out in close cooperation with the radiologists at the UKBB and USB. There are also numerous clinical and scientific collaborations with all paediatric and surgical departments at the UKBB. As part of the Kinderherznetzwerk Bern-Basel, catheter intervention and cardiosurgical procedures are carried out at the Inselspital Bern. Regular interdisciplinary heart conferences and joint case discussions promote close professional exchange and enable care at the highest level.

- The position is suitable for already recognized child cardiologists as well as for colleagues in advanced training (at least two years). Structured training for one year in the field of non-invasive pediatric cardiology for the acquisition of the major title can be completed at the UKBB.
