Main responsibilities
- As a department for palliative care, we care for people with incurable diseases.
- Our department consists of the hospital-internal Konsildienst and the outpatient mobile palliative service 'MPD Baselland
- SEOP'.
- Our goal is the best possible symptom control, support in the determination of the therapeutic goal and planning of the further procedure.
- In doing so, we work closely with the treatment teams on the ward, the Interprofessional Team Palliative Care, other providers of specialized palliative care, as well as GPs and dedicate ourselves to the following main tasks:
- Consultant care for inpatients and their relatives in the various clinics of the KSBL, mainly at the Liestal site
- Assistance of patients in the home environment as a medical part of the MPD Baselland SEOP
- Strengthening the basic competencies of palliative care
- Participation in internal and external training events
- Assistance in the further development and expansion of palliative care at KSBL Requirements
