Role overview

Role Purpose This role supports operations and improvement of the enterprise business application and related data platforms.

The incumbent acts as both the system SME and the primary bridge between business stakeholders, regional IT teams, and vendors, ensuring system stability, enhancement delivery, and alignment to business and regulatory requirements.

As this role requires working with regional stakeholders, working outside standard hours is required when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own technical and functional accountability of the enterprise business application
  • Act as the primary Business Analyst translating business requirements into system and data solutions
  • Lead incident, problem, and root cause analysis for production issues impacting underwriting, claims, and finance
  • Manage and coordinate changes, enhancements, and releases with regional (HK) IT teams
  • Validate solutions through UAT coordination and business sign-offs
  • Maintain system documentation including Business Requirement Documents, process flows, and data mappings
  • Support automation initiatives (e.g., RPA for policy booking and operations)
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of data transformations between the enterprise business application and DWH
  • Drive continuous improvements to reduce manual processes and system inefficiencies Business Analysis Responsibilities
  • Engage business (Underwriting, Claims, Finance) to capture requirements
  • Translate complex insurance workflows into system logic and technical specifications
  • Conduct impact analysis on upstream/downstream systems
  • Define data mappings, business rules, and validation requirements
  • Facilitate workshops, walkthroughs, and solution alignment sessions Technical Responsibilities
  • Provide L2/L3 application support for the enterprise business applications
  • Troubleshoot system issues, including transaction failures and processing errors
  • Review and approve development estimates and changes with regional teams
  • Validate system configurations such as treaty setups, policy booking, and financial transactions
  • Support data analysis across enterprise business applications and DWH for reporting and reconciliation Governance, Risk & Compliance
  • Act as system owner/control owner for enterprise business application and DWH-related IT controls
  • Ensure compliance with ITGC, audit requirements, and ServiceNow GRC processes
  • Maintain evidence for system controls, monitoring, and reporting activities
  • Support audit queries and remediation actions Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong experience in enterprise business applications systems
  • Hands-on experience with data platforms (DWH) and reporting logic
  • Proven Business Analysis experience in complex systems
  • Ability to work with legacy platforms and cross-region teams
  • Strong SQL/data analysis and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and documentation skills
  • 5 to 8 years or relevant working experience, relevant insurance experience is a plus Qualifications
  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • Certifications (ECBA, CCBA, CSPO/ ITIL / Agile) are a plus but not mandatory
