Mission

EPFL's Thomä laboratory is looking for a motivated laboratory technician to support various research projects in the field of drug discovery.

You will work with a team of postdoctoral researchers developing compounds of "molecular glues".

Main responsibilities

  • Main tasks and responsibilities
  • Within our research team, you will provide experimental support to various projects. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Conduct molecular biology experiments, including DNA cloning, plasmids preparation and building validation
  • Participate in mammalian and insect cell culture, including routine crop maintenance and transfections
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of cellular or molecular screening tests
  • Prepare samples and reagents, and maintain accurate experimental records
  • Analyse experimental results and identify possible technical problems
  • Participate in the management of the laboratory's common stocks, the maintenance of equipment and the maintenance of a clean and well-organised working environment
  • Coordinate experiments and priorities with several researchers
  • Contribute positively to the scientific and social life of the laboratory Profile
