Your responsibility

• Coordination and assurance of the operation of the cantonal SOC services, implementation of proactive measures (e.g. planning of threat hunts) as well as preparation of regular reports and participation in audits
• Coordination between members of the SOC organisation/operation, the external MSSP (Managed Security Service Provider), IT security and IT management
• Management, quality assurance, escalation and continuous development of SOC services, optimization of operational processes
• Leading participation in projects that aim to further expand and optimize SOC services
• Ensure monitoring and coordination of incident response
• Participation in the continuous optimization of operational IT security in close cooperation with internal and external bodies
• Responsibility for budget and cost planning as well as contract and supplier management
• Assumption of operational tasks during the SOC development phase (e.g. analysis, evaluation and handling of potential security incidents)

Your background

• Degree (Master Uni/FH) in Computer Science / Business Informatics / IT Security or an equivalent qualification
• Relevant certifications in the field of IT security (e.g. CISSP, CISM, GCIH/GCIA etc.) as well as in project management (HERMES 2022, IPMA or comparable)
• Sound, proven knowledge and professional experience in the field of information security, in particular in the areas of SOC, vulnerability management, threat intelligence/hunting
• Proven experience in the Windows and Linux environment as well as experience in dealing with SOC tools (e.g. SIEM, SOAR, XDR etc.)
• Several years and in-depth experience in the area of management / coordination of a SOC are advantageous
• Strong service orientation coupled with communication strength, assertiveness and a high sense of responsibility
• Systematic, targeted and efficient working methods as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Curiosity about current trends and developments in cyber security as well as new attack techniques and protection measures; very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing
