Your responsibility

• Project management for traffic optimisation, traffic flow simulations and analyses to improve the performance of road infrastructure taking into account the needs of all transport participants
• Active participation in the further development of the existing and future road infrastructure for a conflict-free, safe and settlement-compatible handling of comprehensive transport
• Responsibility for transport feasibility studies and expert opinions, as well as for the analysis of accident centres and danger points and the development of suitable measures
• Responsible for the development of sustainable transport solutions in the area of traffic survey and evaluation as well as for control and safety systems

Your background

• University degree in transport engineering, transport engineering or a comparable discipline and corresponding further education such as CAS in road safety
• Professional and project manager experience in transport engineering
• Knowledge and experience with Federal Infrastructure Security Instruments (ISSI)
• Strong analytical skills
• Joy to negotiate and cooperate with different stakeholders
• Digital affinity

The Civil Engineering Office is a department of the Construction and Environmental Protection Directorate and with around 150 employees responsible for 425 km of roads, 22 km of tram ice and 830 km of streams and rivers in the Canton of Basel-Landschaft in order to meet the current and future mobility needs of the population and to ensure safe and natural waters. It is important to reconcile the interests of society, the company and the environment and to search for and implement the best possible solution.
