- In close cooperation with our two eye doctors, you will evaluate patient records and medical histories, collect patient history and independently carry out orthoptic, strabological and neuroophthalmological examinations in children (from 6 months) and adults.
- Subjective and objective refraction determination with skiascopy in cycloplegia is also an important part of orthoptic investigation.
Main responsibilities
- In close cooperation with our two eye doctors, you will evaluate patient records and medical histories, collect patient history and independently carry out orthoptic, strabological and neuroophthalmological examinations in children (from 6 months) and adults.
- Subjective and objective refraction determination with skiascopy in cycloplegia is also an important part of orthoptic investigation.
- By evaluating and interpreting the examination results, you make diagnoses as well as differential diagnoses and plan the further procedure and the appropriate therapy.
- Consultative activities, follow-up checks and motivating discussions with patients and accompanying persons are part of their daily tasks.
- If possible, you carry out low vision assessments, determine the need for enlargement and advise patients in the area of low vision.
