Your responsibility

• They advise and inform adults in questions of vocational, study and career planning.
• Focus on youth and study counselling: They advise and support young people and young adults at secondary, vocational and middle schools.
• They are responsible for individual secondary school houses, conduct short consultations there as well as parent-student events in the LBZ in the evening.
• They support the department of study counselling and help with events for middle school students.
• They participate in information events and group workshops or lead them independently.
• They have in-depth diagnostic knowledge and bring it to the specialist group diagnostics.
• You take over information services, including short consultations and contribute your expertise to internal project and specialist groups.

Your background

• You have a Master of Advanced Studies in professional, study and career counselling and several years of professional experience in this field.
• They respond empathetically to clients and have strong communication skills.
• Working with young people, parents, teachers and young adults brings you joy.
• Interdisciplinary cooperation with authorities and institutions gives you pleasure.
• They work independently and structured.
• They bring with them the willingness to speak in front of groups.

The career centre (LBZ BL) in Pratteln, including mentoring and general further education, is a main department of the Department of Vocational Education, Secondary Schools and Higher Education (BMH). The LBZ BL advises and informs young people and adults on all questions of vocational, school and study choice as well as career planning and maintains a public information library. The career centre cooperates with schools, public training and partner institutions and conducts consultations and courses on behalf of third parties.
