Tasks

• As part of the team of the Main Department of Special Education, you will further develop the areas of Special Promotion, Special Training and Intercultural Pedagogy in the Canton of Basel-Landschaft and work on the quality assurance of their implementation.
• In this context, you are actively involved in projects and develop sustainable concepts
• They support and advise teachers, school directors and school boards with their expertise professionally and solution-oriented
• They manage specialist conventions, plan network meetings and conferences and conduct them
• They issue decisions and authorisations for integrative special training
• They handle political business (opinions, petitions, etc.) competently and reliably
• They work openly and confidently with other departments and external partners

Requirements

• You have a university or technical college degree (MA) in the field of curative pedagogy, social pedagogy, educational sciences or psychology
• You have several years of professional experience in the regular school sector (inclusive / separative) and/or in special training
• They are experienced in leading different negotiating partners to a good solution and have the appropriate sensitivity
• You are interested in educational policy issues and in-depth knowledge of school structures and educational content
• They appreciate working in a team and work together constructively and efficiently
• They communicate safely and sovereignly in word and writing

The Office for Elementary Schools (AVS) is the cantonal authority for elementary schools. In particular, he is responsible for the supervision, quality, development, operation and further training of the primary school with regard to optimal support, coordination and further development of the primary school at cantonal level as well as the school psychological advice for all school levels.
