Responsibilities

• Support and further development of the manufacturing processes for a wide, globally used Fiberoptic cable range
• Accompanying and documenting new developments up to series production readiness in an agile development team
• Evaluation of new raw materials as part of product development
• Optimization of existing manufacturing processes, workflows, plant configurations and workplaces in cooperation with production
• Creation and ongoing expansion of process documentation in accordance with EN9100
• Responsible for the design, procurement and maintenance of extrusion tools, injection heads and extruders

Requirements

• Plastics technologist EFZ, ideally with a focus on extrusion
• Further training as a plastics technician HF is an advantage
• Sound knowledge of length production with mono- and co-extrusion, material behavior of thermoplastics (e.g. HFFR-PE, PBT, TPU), their failure analysis and quality management
• Very good and quick comprehension of plant operation, extrusion processes and optical fiber optic technology
• Analytical thinking and structured way of working, proactive and resilient
• Experienced use of digital tools (process, product and project documentation)
• Fluency in written and spoken English and German
