What you bring

• Completed training as a car mechanic, automotive mechatronics engineer, agricultural machinery or construction machinery mechanic with several years of professional experience
• Further training as an automotive diagnostician, technical clerk or similar of advantage
• Experience in direct customer contact and skill in dealing with people and technology
• High willingness to learn and good understanding
• Good knowledge of German
• Driving licence of categories B / BE / A (categories C / D beneficial)
• Minimum age 25 years

With its ten departments and more than 2,400 employees, the Department of Economics and Home Affairs performs important tasks in the police, law enforcement, penal system, migration and integration, community supervision and economics. The Secretariat-General provides the central services for the department and is the interface with the general administration.

The transport experts at the Road Transport Office of the Canton of Aargau play a key role in ensuring safe and efficient mobility. They test all types of vehicles – from light passenger cars to heavy goods vehicles – and ensure that they comply with technical and safety requirements. In addition, we conduct driving tests for all categories - from motorcycles to cars and trailers.
