Main responsibilities
- The person to be appointed has to represent the subject of the New Testament in the whole range of topics and questions in teaching.
- A special focus is on research and teaching on the earliest Christian writings in the context of ancient Judaism.
- The professorship is located at the Theological Seminary.
- The willingness to engage in the Swiss context is required.
- Requirements: Applicants:Inside a dissertation in the field of New Testament and in the case of an external professorship, they can prove a habilitation or equivalent qualification achievement.
- They are identified by further publications and bring with them experience in teaching.
- The intention is also to provide proven competence in the field of ancient Judaism and relevant source languages.
- The willingness to conduct interdisciplinary research, especially with the ancient studies of Zurich, and the ability to communicate scientific findings to the public are assumed.
