Role overview
For our client in Basel-Landschaft, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Application Developer - Java/PHP .
This role involves developing and maintaining critical applications, ensuring seamless integration across systems, and supporting operational excellence.
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java and PHP
- Create and optimize SQL queries and database structures for high-performance systems
- Develop and manage APIs for internal and external integrations
- Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust IT solutions
- Provide on-call support during agreed evenings and weekends to ensure system availability
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation processes
- Proven experience in Java and PHP development

- Strong knowledge of advanced SQL and relational database design
Key requirements
- Proven experience in Java and PHP development
- Strong knowledge of advanced SQL and relational database design
- Hands-on experience with API development and integration Proficiency in Linux OS administration
- Proficiency in DevOps & efficient pipeline management is a plus
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Willingness to provide on-call support during evenings/weekends as per schedule

- As of 3rd of August / 1st of Sept. 2026 - 6 months with the option of extension/internalization PHP, Java, SQL, Linux
