Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive intern to join the internal audit team covering the Private Banking business across Asia. The successful candidate will integrate a high performing team and participate in audits across various processes such as client onboarding, sales and suitability, products and operations, ensuring robust control environments and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the team in planning and executing internal audits.

• Perform walkthroughs, test controls, and assess compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

• Prepare clear and concise audit documentation, findings, and recommendations for process improvements.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand processes and identify areas of risk.

• Support the follow-up and resolution of audit findings and recommendations.

• Utilize data analytics to identify emerging risks (data analytics skills are a plus).

Requirements / Skillset

• Candidates to be currently enrolled in a recognized university, with a preference for students in their penultimate or final year of study. Besides finance-related degrees, applicants from diverse backgrounds, including engineering, mathematics, and technology will be considered .

• A broad understanding of the banking industry and investment products would be a plus. Any prior experience in finance, accounting or risk is relevant.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in Excel (Understanding of basic data analytics tools and techniques is an advantage).

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently yet to proactively seek guidance from senior auditors.
