Institute of Medical Microbiology
Job opening immediately or by agreement
At the Institute of Medical Microbiology of the University of Zurich, bacteriological, mycobacteriological, molecular and mycological laboratory tests are carried out as part of diagnostics.
Tasks
- They independently carry out routine analyses in bacteriology – from sample preparation to analysis and technical validation.
- You will take over the organizational and personnel management of a team in bacteriology. They maintain an open and collegial approach and attach importance to a motivating working atmosphere.
- They support the development and introduction of new tests in the field of bacteriology and help shape our diagnostic processes.
- Weekend service every 4 weeks / Holiday services (no night service)
- Diagnostics in a modern device environment with WASPLab, MALDI-TOF, ORION and digital microscopy.
Profile
- Completed training as a biomedical analyst HF or equivalent qualification.
- Leadership experience is an advantage, but not a prerequisite - we support you in your development.
- Professional experience in bacteriology
- They work independently, accurately, forward and take responsibility. At the same time, you are a team player and open to new ideas and innovative approaches.
- They have a good knowledge of German in words and writing.
