The water protection laboratory carries out analyses on water bodies and in the vicinity of the wastewater treatment plant (ARA). On the basis of studies of wastewater and sewage sludge, material inputs, pollution and risks for the environment can be detected at an early stage and the effectiveness of measures can be assessed. The expertise in the team also supports the assessment of water pollution and enables sound reporting. Their tasks
- In this function, you will primarily support our team in the Canton of Zurich in the operative implementation of sampling and subsequent laboratory tests.

- Sampling on site: routine sampling at private and municipal sewage treatment plants in the Canton of Zurich
- Laboratory analysis: carrying out chemical-physical tests of the water samples taken and sample preparation and processing of sewage sludge
- Support activities: Assistance in handling water pollution (laboratory analysis) and support to the team in the event of technical accidents Your profile
- Completed training as a chemical laboratory, environmental technician or equivalent qualification
- Ideally demonstrable experience in the field of wastewater analysis or in the environment of sewage treatment plants
- Safe handling of MS-Office
- Experience with LIMS is a big advantage
- Valid category B driving licence (mandatory for sampling tours)
