Canton of Zurich Security Directorate Migration Office Team Principal/in Approval Area 80 - 100% The Migration Office of the Canton of Zurich operates daily in the exciting political environment of all migration issues and the resulting tasks. It is responsible for the implementation of the Swiss law on aliens and asylum, the agreement on the free movement of persons between Switzerland and the EU/EFTA countries as well as the Schengen and Dublin agreements. For the Entry/FZA area we are looking for a team principal 80 - 100% by 1 November 2026 or by agreement. In this interesting management position, you are responsible for the technical and personnel management of a team of seven employees. You handle legally demanding individual cases and together with your team you provide services in the “Entry and Free Movement of Persons” approval process of the cantonal migration authority. This includes all questions concerning the regulation of the right of residence of foreign nationals. For this challenging task, you have a law degree, management experience or comparable competencies and preferably administrative practice.
