Introduction

Export expertise meets leadership: In this key role, you lead a dedicated team, ensure professional international export processing and drive processes and systems forward.

Main responsibilities

• You lead your team, motivate and develop your employees and together with them ensure a reliable and high-quality export process.
• You are responsible for the worldwide handling of shipments of goods and documents including all necessary export and customs documents, certificates of origin, certifications, ATA carnet/free passes as well as electronic and manual transmission to forwarders, customs offices and customers.
• You create and check acceptance certificates and material certificates, maintain the necessary master data and support during import processes, in particular in return deliveries and repair shipments.
• As a competent contact person, you will deal with issues relating to customs, export control and foreign trade and train our Group companies in export processes as well as in SAP GTS and SAP EWM.
• You will continue to develop our export processes, system solutions, work instructions and training documents and ensure structured documentation and archiving in accordance with ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2000.
• You keep an eye on quality, deadlines and costs, initiate appropriate measures in the event of deviations and ensure compliance with working time, holiday, absence and work safety requirements. This also includes holiday planning and the maintenance of freight forwarders in the ERP system.
• In your leadership role, together with your manager and HR, you take on the relevant personnel processes and decisions, from target agreements and employee assessments to bonus and wage discussions, and ensure a safe working environment through risk assessments and corresponding measures.

Required expertise

• You have a basic commercial training and a higher specialist training in export and/or foreign trade, ideally as a foreign trade specialist with a federal professional certificate or foreign trade manager.
• You will have at least five years of professional experience in the international industrial, commercial or logistics environment and know the operational export processing and its requirements from practice.
• You have already gained at least two years of leadership experience, lead with clarity and appreciation and understand how to motivate and develop employees.
• You are SAP-savvy and have very good IT knowledge, especially in SAP SD, MM, PP, EWM and BI as well as MS Office.
• You bring logistics and project experience, think across divisional boundaries and develop solutions with a medium- and long-term view.
• You convince with entrepreneurial thinking, initiative and communication strength, work accurately and reliably even under deadline pressure and win over different stakeholder groups for joint solutions.
• You communicate in German and English, enjoy working as a team and are committed, committed and convincing.
