Full description
The school childcare facilities in the City of Zürich are managed by childcare managers and employ trained childcare staff (after-school care managers and childcare specialists) and support staff. For staff absences lasting longer than 3 days and for vacant positions at the facilities, the School Office arranges a substitute.
Your assignments as a trained childcare worker may last for a longer period (e.g. in the case of maternity leave) or may also be short-term, for individual days only. During your assignment, you take over the area of responsibility of the childcare worker who is absent at the facility.
Tasks
- Caring for and guiding children
- Providing accompaniment and support to children or young people with a disability as part of lessons and/or childcare (HPS and/or ISR)
- Collaboration with parents, teachers and kindergarten teachers at the school
- Planning daily routines in consultation with the manager
- Administrative tasks such as maintaining lists of children and inventory lists
Profile
- EFZ qualification as a childcare specialist
- Experience in educational work with school-aged children
- Experience in special-needs education (1:1 support) for young people with disabilities is an advantage
- Ability to work independently, high flexibility and resilience, as well as good teamwork and communication skills
- Work is required on at least 3 days per week – Thursday and Friday are mandatory
