At our location in the Staudenbühl school building in Zürich Seebach we are looking for someone starting on 1 November 2026 or by agreement a care specialist at 100 %.

Tasks

• Educational support and development of young people in practical life skills and school-related areas
• Assistance and guidance in the hygiene, social and everyday skills of young people
• Active use of ASD-specific aids such as AAC / Metacom
• Participation in the organisation and planning of after-school care, as well as support during individual and group leisure activities and school events
• Participation in meetings, school progress meetings and in-house training sessions

Profile

• Training as a care specialist, specialising in people with disabilities, or equivalent training
• Willingness to support pupils with special needs
• A high degree of flexibility and very good teamwork and communication skills
• Independent working style and the ability to think and act in an interconnected way
• Enjoyment of working with people from different cultures

About us

The Special Education School of the City of Zurich is a day special school for children and young people aged 4 to 15 with cognitive and/or multiple disabilities. We offer the students, who are taught in separate classes at various school buildings throughout the City of Zurich, a supportive environment and focus interdisciplinary support on their strengths.

Our teams at the various locations throughout the City of Zurich consist of special education teachers, social pedagogues, care professionals, trainees, and assistants.
