Supply Manager - Operations (80-100%)
Männedorf, Zurich
Your contribution
As a Supply Manager at Tecan, you are a central part of our Supply Management team and ensure that our material supply runs smoothly. You optimize availability, quality and costs, further develop our supplier relationships and contribute your ideas for efficient processes. Through your commitment, you help us achieve our ambitious departmental and company goals – and delight our customers worldwide.
- Independent procurement and management of suppliers and product lines within the framework of global and local procurement and quality policies
- Optimization of material availability, inventory turnover, quality and costs, as well as the continuous further development of procurement and logistics processes
- Support in negotiating and concluding contracts with suppliers, as well as actively further developing supplier relationships
- Coordination and communication with internal and external stakeholders, including processing Non Conformity Reports and Corrective Actions
- Maintaining and entering procurement master data in the ERP system (SAP R3/S4), as well as implementing change requests and creating item records
- Participate in internal departmental projects.
Your profile

- Completed vocational training in a technical or commercial field
- Ideally, further training as a federally certified purchasing specialist or equivalent
- At least 2–3 years of experience in operational procurement
- Very good command of German and English, both written and spoken
- Experience with SAP R3/S4 and Excel
- You are familiar with the national and international supplier market
- You are confident in negotiations, efficient, practical and self-confident
- Resilience, team spirit, strong communication skills and social competence set you apart
- You are innovative, goal-oriented, reliable and think entrepreneurially
- Flexibility, willingness to learn and openness to new things round out your profile
