Role overview
The Department of Surgery consists of 7 clinics: the clinics for vascular surgery, hand and plastic surgery, neurosurgery, orthopaedics and traumatology, visceral and thoracic surgery, paediatric surgery and urology.
We have 200 acute beds, an interdisciplinary intensive care unit, an interdisciplinary emergency unit and a consultation centre.
The Department of Surgery has a central function.

- Would you like to actively support us during 1 to 4 months in our hospital day, participate in visits and reports, assist with operations and take on your own tasks at the emergency station?
- You will learn the assessment and treatment of the surgical patient and various manual skills important for everyday surgery.

Main responsibilities
- Would you like to actively support us during 1 to 4 months in our hospital day, participate in visits and reports, assist with operations and take on your own tasks at the emergency station?
- You will learn the assessment and treatment of the surgical patient and various manual skills important for everyday surgery.
- During use, you rotate between surgical emergency department, vascular surgery, hand and plastic surgery, neurosurgery, pediatric surgery, orthopaedics and traumatology, as well as visceral and thoracic surgery
- Upon request, a combination with the field of urology is possible Profile:
- Active student / active student of human medicine
- Student in the elective year (CH) or in the practical year or student at the time of school in the 4th year.
- Year of study or 2nd clinical year of study
- Mind. 4 weeks of internship
- Language skills in German min. B2
