By 1 November 2026 or by agreement we are looking for a social pedagogue/social pedagogue (hospital management)

The Day School Mattenhof sees itself as a learning community in which children and adults grow together. We accompany children in their personal and social development, strengthen their independence and create an environment in which they can feel safe, try new things and grow from their experiences. For our care at the primary level, we are looking for a committed social pedagogue who takes on responsibility, actively tackles, thinks ahead and shapes the day-to-day care together with our team. Tasks

Pensum: 85 - 90%

Your area of activity

• They accompany and support the children with heart and commitment, be it in the time off lessons, at the lunch table, in the holiday care or on school days
• You actively contribute your ideas to the further development of our pedagogical work and also take on administrative, organizational and planning tasks
• They create a lively, varied and age-appropriate day-to-day care in which the children can feel comfortable and develop.
• As a leisure responsible person of the project «BeFrei» you plan and organize together with the team offers that inspire children and give them new experiences.
• In working groups you actively shape the future of our day school
• Depending on your interest and qualifications, you will accompany and train learners (FaBe) or take over the function as a practical instructor (PA) and thus pass on your knowledge and pleasure in the profession.
• They maintain an open and trusting cooperation with teachers, parents and other specialists

Profile

• Degree in Social Education (FH/HF), Social Work (FH/HF) or equivalent recognised education
• Professional experience working with children aged 4 to 12 years
• Joy in accompanying children in their development and promoting their independence
• They take responsibility, think and act forward-looking
• They bring their own initiative, recognize the need for action and of course take part in everyday care
• You work in a structured, solution-oriented manner and appreciate collaboration in an interdisciplinary team
• Computers are a working tool for you and not an obstacle – administrative tasks are done gladly and safely
• Very good knowledge of German

For foreign diplomas and vocational degrees, a Swiss diploma recognition is mandatory

About us

The school district Schwamendingen comprises the entire district 12 of the city of Zurich. The school Mattenhof is located in the immediate vicinity of the train station Stettbach and is easily accessible by public transport.

At our school, three kindergarten classes and ten mixed-age primary classes are taught. In our two care facilities we accompany and care for up to 230 children every day. Since 2020, the school Mattenhof is run as a day school and continuously develops the cooperation between teaching and supervision.
