To strengthen our team, we are looking for 1. September 2026 or, by agreement, a social pedagogue in the function as a custodian.
Tasks
- You support the care team with your socio-pedagogical expertise in everyday life and keep a cool head even in challenging situations
- They pay 83% five days a week between 10:00 – 18:00
- They work mainly with kindergarten children and accompany them in regular operation as well as on school-free days
- In the 13 school-free weeks you work three weeks in the holiday care. In the remaining school-free weeks, you receive holidays by compensating for additional hours worked (annual working hours)
Profile
- degree as a social pedagogue* in FH or HFS; social worker FH or HFS; Teaching diploma for the elementary school level, university degree with a major in social pedagogy, pedagogy or educational sciences (for applications with a foreign diploma / specialist card, a Swiss diploma recognition must be mandatory)
- Motivated, open and resilient personality with a positive human image
- Reliability, flexibility and very good team and communication skills
- Joy in dealing with people of different cultures and willingness for interdisciplinary cooperation in the school team

About us
Nordstern Day School is part of a large school community in Zurich-Nord with 19 schools. Our pedagogical attitude is based on the concept of New Authority – we meet challenges together, clearly and effectively.
The Nordstern Day School focuses on education for sustainable development (ESD). In age-mixed classes and groups and through strong participation, children can take responsibility and experience self-efficacy. The teachers work in the care and the caregivers support the teachers in the teaching, together we create the living space school.
In January 2025, about seven minutes walk from the main building, we opened an outdoor location with four kindergartens and our own support department and kitchen. To strengthen the support Riedgraben, we are looking for a second hoard management that supports the motivated support team.
