As a Senior MQ Engineer, you work with us to ensure that this mission-critical platform remains stable, secure and sustainable. You take responsibility for the operation and further development of the platform – from high availability with RDQM to monitoring and automation to the connection of new applications. You work closely with application teams, departments and external partners, analyze complex relationships and bring solutions into productive operation.

- Together with your team, you will carry end-to-end responsibility for the stable, secure and high-performance operation of our central IBM MQ platform.
- You design, operate and develop our highly available MQ infrastructures – especially in the environment of RDQM.
- You automate provisioning, configuration, deployment and lifecycle management with scripting.
- You monitor availability and performance, analyze disruptions and ensure that problems are solved sustainably.
- You will advise and assist application teams in connecting new and existing applications to our messaging platform.
- You actively design architecture, security, operational and resilience concepts and implement them together with the teams involved.
- You work closely with business engineering, departments, application teams and other technology partners.
- Several years of practical experience in the operation and administration of IBM MQ
- Experience with highly available MQ environments – ideally with RDQM
- Routine in monitoring, performance analysis and structured troubleshooting of productive messaging environments
- Experience in automation with at least one suitable technology, such as Ansible or Bash
- Willingness to take responsibility for a business-critical platform and actively participate in its development
- An independent and solution-oriented working method and enjoyment of working together in a team
- Very good knowledge of German and the ability to communicate technical connections in an understandable way
- Knowledge of Avada IR360
- Experience with CI/CD and deployment tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI or Nexus
- Knowledge of the Java environment, for example Maven or Tomcat
- Experience in the meaningful use of AI-based tools in everyday engineering
- Much room for manoeuvre in the modernization, automation and further development of our IBM MQ platform
