Role overview
The Analytics, Reporting, Data & Platforms area contributes to increasing the value of the Migros Group through data.
To do this, we build a modern data architecture on a cloud-based tech stack.
Our team is responsible for the Data Foundation in the data mesh setup: source-aligned data products as a reliable basis for all domains.

Main responsibilities
- end-to-end development and operation of source-aligned data products (including Item master and transaction data) including clearly defined SLOs, quality guarantees and high discoverability
- Use of generative AI and agentic approaches to accelerate the development of data products and to automate operational processes
- Definition and implementation of automatically verifiable data contracts as well as ensuring interoperability and reliability between source-aligned and consumer-aligned data products
- Development, operation and further development of automated data pipelines in the Google Cloud stack (dbt, SQL, Airflow, BigQuery) as well Establishment of ELT processes using CI/CD
- Development of data models based on Data Vault 2.0
- Responsibility for viable architectural decisions across multiple data products as well as coordination with PO, stakeholders and the Requisiti team
- Several years of experience: in data engineering and data modeling, including proven in a role with technical responsibility for data products or platforms
- Completed studies (Uni/ETH, FH, HF): in computer science, mathematics, physics, business informatics or a comparable training
- Proven knowledge of data engineering with modern data warehouse and data product technologies such as SQL, Python, dbt, BigQuery and Terraform, ideally on Google Cloud
- Practice in the development of data products and data contracts as well as a good feel for trade-offs between quality, reusability and time-to-market
