Role overview
Good teaching shapes how students think, act and take responsibility for the future. The Department of Teaching and Learning / Unit for Teaching and Learning (UTL) provides strategic foundations for the further development of teaching at ETH Zurich and supports its implementation in everyday life. Thus, UTL combines long-term strategy development with concrete support for teaching practice.
For this function, we are looking for an analytically strong and linguistically versed personality, which quickly penetrates strategic topics and supports the department management as well as the Vice-Rector in projects, clarification orders, briefings and decision-making bases. This is about concise, addressable and decision-oriented preparation of complex topics for leadership and strategy processes. The function combines basic strategic work with institutional decision-making processes and the targeted inclusion of relevant perspectives from departments, study programs and teaching practice.
The body offers insight into key issues of university development, teaching and institutional management at ETH Zurich. It is especially suitable for people with a scientific background, very good judgement and joy in preparing complex content precisely, differentiated and addressable.
