The opportunity At Hitachi Energy, we are looking for an experienced Real Estate Controller, for a 12-month temporary assignment, to drive financial excellence across our global real estate portfolio.
In this strategic role, you will oversee financial reporting, portfolio performance, compliance, and investment analysis while partnering with stakeholders across multiple functions and regions.
How you'll make an impact Oversee accounting, financial reporting, and performance analysis for Hitachi's global real estate portfolio, including investment and corporate properties Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, cash flow analyses, and financial plans to support business objectives Develop, implement, and continuously improve internal controls, financial policies, and governance frameworks related to real estate activities Conduct financial due diligence and provide commercial assessments for acquisitions, disposals, leasing transactions, and strategic investments Monitor portfolio performance against financial targets, KPIs, and market benchmarks, identifying opportunities for improvement Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (IFRS\/GAAP), tax regulations, and real estate-related legal requirements Partner with internal functions such as Legal, Tax, Treasury, and Facilities Management, as well as external auditors, appraisers, and property managers Deliver strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership while driving process optimization and digitalization initiatives Your background Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
