Do you want to design road infrastructure that is used by thousands of people every day? In this role, you take responsibility for a wide range of repair projects in an exciting catchment area – from Feuerthalen to Fischenthal. You control your projects independently from planning to implementation, coordinate different participants and ensure that quality, costs and deadlines are right. Your tasks

• You plan and organize our civil engineering and road repair projects from start to finish.
• You are responsible for costs, deadlines and quality and keep an eye on your projects throughout all phases.
• You coordinate planners, companies and other project participants and ensure a smooth project flow.
• You represent the interests of the canton towards municipalities, authorities, companies and other stakeholders.
• You ensure compliance with the relevant standards and specifications and ensure comprehensible project documentation. Your profile
• You have an apprenticeship as a civil engineer (FH/ETH), construction manager or comparable technical training and bring in-depth practical experience in civil engineering or road construction.
• You organize and plan ahead and lead your projects to success independently.
• You think economically, set priorities and find viable solutions for different interests.
• You act safely towards different stakeholders and communicate clearly and appropriately.
• You work solution-oriented and keep an overview even in demanding project situations. The road inspectorate of the civil engineering office of the canton of Zurich with around 250 employees operates and maintains the state roads in the canton of Zurich. The aim is to achieve high availability and optimum traffic safety as well as to maintain the value of the approximately 1,310 kilometres of state roads.
