Job opening 1 August 2028 or by arrangement
At the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zurich is at 1. August 2028 or by agreement to fill the Chair of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. The chair goes hand in hand with the management of the Hospital for Gastroenterology and Hepatology of the University Hospital Zurich and represents the subject in research, care and teaching. We are looking for a dynamic, integrative and cooperative personality with extensive clinical expertise and scientific experience in gastroenterology or hepatology. A habilitation or equivalent scientific qualification and a specialist title in gastroenterology (FMH) or an equivalent foreign qualification are required. Since you will take over the management of the Clinic of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, you will have experience in the management or deputy management of a university clinical unit. In addition, you have extensive experience in the management of a research group, the acquisition of competitive third-party funding as well as in student teaching, the supervision of qualification work and the academic promotion of young talent. We are looking for a participatory, value-oriented and inclusive leader with proven experience in promoting cooperative, interdisciplinary teamwork. They are able to network teams across disciplines, establish an appreciative work culture and actively contribute to the further development of research, teaching and clinical care.
