Canton of Zurich Directorate of the Judiciary and the Interior Public Prosecutor's Office Senior Prosecutor 80 - 100% The Zurich Public Prosecutor’s Office is responsible for the prosecution of crimes committed by adults in the Canton of Zurich and employs around 500 people. The Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office supervises nine public prosecutors’ offices and is responsible for the planning, management, control and further development of adult prosecution in the Canton of Zurich. As a result of ordinary retirement of the current job holder, we are looking for 1. August 2027 or by agreement a new senior prosecutor (80 - 100%). In this diverse activity in the triangle of leadership, management and expertise You have the following responsibility:
- They lead the five Regional Public Prosecutor’s Offices as well as the discharge prosecutor’s Office and together with the leading prosecutors ensure effective prosecution.
- They actively shape the strategic orientation of law enforcement in the Canton of Zurich, especially in the transformation of the organization into digital law enforcement and modern leadership culture.
- Through active interface management with the heads of the police, the courts and the cantonal government, you lay the foundation for constructive cooperation on a strategic and tactical level.
- They lead internal projects and interdisciplinary specialist groups in the field of law enforcement, sit in various project organisations and represent the public prosecutor's office or the public prosecutor's office. the Directorate in public offices and commissions.
