Minimum qualifications

4 years of motion design experience in product design, UX design, or UX/UI animation.

Main responsibilities

  • Define and implement the look and feel of Google products through motion design.
  • Provide patterns, best practices and guidance on animation and transitions for different devices (such as TV, tablets, wearables, mobile, etc.) and platforms (such as web, Android, iOS, etc.).
  • Create high quality design proposals and drive projects from concept to iterations and implementation.

Key requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of motion design experience in product design, UX design, or UX/UI animation.
  • Experience in motion design related to physics, patterns, and visual design elements.
  • Experience with Lottie or Bodymovin export workflows, JSON data structures, and the rendering limits of mobile and web frameworks (CSS/SVG/Canvas).
  • Experience documenting motion values (e.g., easing, duration, choreography) into design tokens and component libraries.
