For the committed leadership and strategic development of our clinic, we are looking for a motivated and professionally experienced leader at the earliest possible time as Chief Physician / Chief Physician Geriatrics. The Cantonal Hospital Winterthur (KSW) is one of the ten largest hospitals in Switzerland and provides medical care in the greater Winterthur area with around 4,000 employees. Our Clinic for Acute Geriatrics has a highly specialized age medicine and covers a broad, future-oriented spectrum: Acute Geriatrics, Memory Clinic, Aging Traumatology and Long Term Care. In the course of the continuous expansion of our age medicine center functions, we are looking for a strong and empathetic personality who wants to contribute their professional expertise and commitment and actively shape the further development of age medicine at the KSW.

Tasks

• Diagnosis and treatment of patients at the acute-geriatric bed ward and in the KSW’s Retirement Trauma Center.
• Consultation hours at the Memory Clinic with appropriate previous experience.
• Implementation of stationary consilies at KSW
• Treatment of the residents in the Oberi and Adlergarten age centres of the city of Winterthur as part of the medical care service.
• Deputy head doctor in his absence.
• Professional support, supervision and promotion of senior physicians and assistant physicians, including teaching and further education.
• Active participation in the qualitative and strategic development of the medical treatment offer.
• Assuming overarching organisational tasks.
• Promote interprofessional and interdisciplinary cooperation.
• Engagement in teaching, training, quality assurance and network maintenance

Profile

• Specialist title General Internal Medicine (for foreign diploma with MEBEKO recognition).
• Main topic: Geriatrics.
• Several years of experience in a senior or senior function.
• Responsible and assertive personality with high quality thinking and strong teamwork and creative will.
• High social skills, strong communication and empathetic treatment of older people and their relatives.
• Enjoyment of interdisciplinary cooperation as well as the further development of acute medicine
• Very good knowledge of German in word and writing
