Our Sune-Egge specialist hospital for social medicine and addictions offers inpatient and outpatient treatment for patients with combined somatic and psychiatric illnesses. We have 22 acute and 20 long-term care beds for them and work closely with public hospitals, doctors, local specialist offices and addiction support institutions.

We are looking for a reliable, flexible specialist for our outpatient clinic on a temporary basis (maternity cover) from January 2027 to September 2027:

Medical practice assistant or nursing specialist HF 60%

for the working days Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

• Responsibility for the smooth running of the daily consultation hours
• Consultation assistance (e.g. for minor surgical procedures)
• Coordination, planning and execution of laboratory tests and functional diagnostics (ECG, lung function, Holter ECG, 24-hour blood pressure, polygraphy)
• Independently carry out blood samples and wound care (as prescribed by a doctor)
• Medication management: setting up medications, preparing them and dispensing them, including opioid agonist therapy OAT (e.g. methadone)
• Administrative medical assistance (reporting, performance recording, registration of OAT with the health department, etc.)
• Admission coordination and appointment management for our patients
• Bed disposition
• Completed training as a medical practice assistant EFZ, health specialist EFZ with experience as an MPA or comparable medical training with corresponding MPA experience
• Very good skills in venous blood sampling and vascular access with difficult venous conditions
• Neat and very reliable way of working, especially when judging and submitting the OAT
• Resilience in stressful situations and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• High communication and team skills
• Tolerance in dealing with addicted people and acceptance of addiction as an illness
• A varied, meaningful job in an interdisciplinary working environment and a collegial team
• A “family” house with short decision-making processes and supportive employees in all specialist areas
• Continuous support for employees as well as support for further training and further education
• Holiday plus: 25 – 49 years: 5 weeks, 50 – 59 years: 6 weeks, from 60 years: 7 weeks
• Regulated working hours (no evening or weekend shifts)
