The Balgrist University Hospital is one of the most renowned orthopedic clinics in Switzerland with an affiliated center for paraplegia and international recognition.

Take on a key role at the interface between patient care and analytical data management and thus actively contribute to the quality and further development of Balgrist University Hospital.

We are looking for a task as of September 1st, 2026 or by agreement: • Independent, audit-proof coding of inpatient cases across the entire orthopedic spectrum, including technical orthopedics, tumor orthopedics, rheumatology and paraplegiology • Supporting the outpatient coding of the new case flat rates • Ensuring a complete and high-quality performance mapping as well as continuous development of the medical and nursing documentation in close coordination with the treating doctors and paramedical specialists • Active rejection management in collaboration with the cost bearers • Participation in coding controlling and carrying out case reviews • Data analyzes as part of inpatient and outpatient medical controlling for process and revenue optimization and providing impulses for outpatient and inpatient tariff development in close cooperation with controlling • Supporting projects in the area of digitalization such as AI in medical coding and integration of medical innovation • Collaboration to ensure statistical foundations in collaboration with controlling for internal and external stakeholders (SpiGes, SPLG-Controlling, SwissDRG data collection, SIRIS, etc.) Requirements: • Several years of professional experience in medical coding, ideally with a federal certificate.
