Apprentice laboratory technician/department chemistry (a) For August 2027 we offer you a challenging apprenticeship in a fascinating research environment. What to expect The exciting activities in the chemical laboratory are observing, monitoring, processing, communicating and interpreting data, using the sensible use of modern analytical devices. You are responsible for the practical conduct of scientific investigations, manufacture or investigate chemical substances. Together with the neighbouring institute Eawag, we run a joint teaching laboratory. In addition to the introductory course at the beginning of the apprenticeship, you will also attend three-month training courses in the second and third year of apprenticeship. You will visit the vocational school in Winterthur.

• What you bring Secondary school A will soon be history and you will finish it with very good performances, especially in the natural sciences, mathematics and linguistic subjects. You have a good ability to observe and comprehend, are persistent and experimental and enjoy working in a team. Your technical understanding and manual skill are just as much a part of this as your ability for abstract and analytical thinking. We also appreciate care and reliability. The joy of dealing with computers and electronics is a must. You are also convinced to start your future with a vocational apprenticeship. By the end of August 2026, the incoming applications will be reviewed. If you have progressed, a first meeting will take place for you. Then we decide the closest selection for the selection trial day.
