Do you want to actively shape process efficiency in P&C underwriting and enjoy optimizing, automating and digitizing end-to-end processes? With your drive, your implementation strength and your eye for the big picture, do you reliably bring change to the ground?

In this role, you are part of the Underwriting business unit in the Workflow Efficiency & Business Support team and actively shape the further development of Zurich Switzerland. The position will become vacant as part of a follow-up, as the previous job holder will retire after many years at Zurich. Together with your team of nine experts, you ensure that our underwriting processes are consistently geared towards efficiency and customer excellence. In close exchange with product management, market facing underwriting and IT, you develop a clear strategic direction and translate it into concrete, effective measures. With your project management, business, IT and architecture expertise, you bring in both technical and technical know-how – and make a tangible impact in everyday life.

This is what awaits you

• You will lead, develop and coach a dedicated team in Business Analysis, Product Ownership, Business Architecture and Business Support
• You support your team with your professional and technical expertise and implement optimizations yourself if necessary
• You design new P&C processes and continuously improve existing ones – with a focus on user/customer experience, quality and efficiency – even in a complex system landscape
• You drive digitalization and use modern technologies, including AI
• Together with your team, you will provide business support for the Pega workflow system and the new Guidewire policy management system for various business areas.

This sets you apart

• University degree or equivalent training in business administration or business informatics – ideally with a focus on process management
• Several years of experience in private insurance business in an IT-related environment as project manager, business analyst, business architect or requirements engineer, preferably in P&C underwriting
• Ability to develop C-level strategies combined with a strong stakeholder and team player mentality and willingness to delve deep into complex issues
• Very strong analytical and conceptual skills, excellent organizational skills, leadership skills, and compelling presentation and communication skills
• Flowing knowledge of German and English
