In Institutional Clients, you assume overall responsibility for a strategically important area of the Zürcher Kantonalbank, in which Swiss institutional clients and financial service providers from Switzerland and Liechtenstein are supervised at two locations (Zurich and Lausanne). You will lead and develop an area of around 35 experienced customer advisors and specialists and set the strategic direction for market development and growth. You ensure that our wide range of financial and investment solutions is used in a targeted manner and that the Zürcher Kantonalbank is visibly and relevantly positioned among our institutional clients. Through your leadership, you create the basis for long-term, personal customer relationships and a strong anchoring of the bank in the market.

Your tasks

• Responsibility of the market development strategy for the institutional segment along with the banking strategy
• Leadership and further development of the assigned customer advisors: inside and specialists: inside as well as ensuring a strong sales culture
• Development and implementation of business development measures with existing and new institutional clients
• Maintaining and expanding long-term relationships with key customers and representing the bank at senior management and decision-making level with clients
• Coordination of cross-divisional cooperation with product specialists (e.g. trade, capital market, asset management)
• Ensuring active market development and positioning of the Zürcher Kantonalbank in the national market environment
• Responsibility of the risk portfolio and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• Development and optimization of customer- and segment-specific support and consulting models as well as relevant processes and instruments
• Completed university degree, ideally in business or natural sciences, supplemented by relevant further education
• At least 10 years of experience in the care of large Swiss institutional clients such as financial services managers, insurance companies and pension funds as well as proven management experience in the direct and indirect management of a larger area
• In-depth knowledge in the area of institutional as well as strong experience in the value chains of trade and investment
• Very good market knowledge and excellent networking in the relevant customer environment; you represent the area and the bank sovereignly to the outside
• As an experienced leader, you convince with enthusiasm, assertiveness and clear focus on results
• You convince with strong communication skills, strategic thinking and a clear vision for the further development of the area
• fluent knowledge of German and English
• French is a big plus
